The Blackpool Former Players Association are hosting “ An Evening With Dave Serella “ at St Annes Cricket Club, close to where Dave lives, to give him a night to remember amongst his family and many friends that he has made from his time in football.
Dave sadly has been diagnosed as having the early onset of dementia and his family and friends are keen to give Dave a great night whilst he is still well enough to appreciate it.
Dave finished his playing days at Blackpool FC when he played 35 games in the early 1980s under Sam Ellis, but prior to that he had a long career starting at Nottingham Forest as a youngster where he played 65 times playing with some of Forest’s star players back then such as John Robertson and Martin O’Neill, before he was transferred to Walsall where he stayed for close on 8 years playing 267 games for the Saddlers.
Dave and his wife Pat settled on the Fylde Coast, living in St Annes where he became a milkman and also a local councillor.
