We’re delighted and relieved to share with you that we’ve been successful in securing funding to help us get through the challenging times that the coronavirus pandemic has brought to the global economy and in particular to our own financial situation at St Annes CC.

Sport England Community Emergency Fund

Sport England

This new Sport England Community Emergency Fund aims to help community sport and physical activity organisations who are experiencing short term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

It’s specifically targeted at organisations who have a role in supporting the nation to be active but who are experiencing short term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the ongoing crisis.

The types of organisations eligible include local sports clubs forced to close at short notice but who are facing ongoing costs around maintenance and utility bills, and voluntary and community sector organisations who deliver or enable sport and physical activity.

Funding Awarded: £10,000

Retail, Hospitality & Leisure Business Grants Fund

Fylde Borough Council

The Chancellor has set out a package of temporary, timely and targeted measures to support public services, people and businesses through this period of disruption caused by COVID-19.

This includes a package of measures to support businesses including grant funding for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses and we can confirm that our application to Fylde Borough Council for such funding has been successful and we are now in receipt of the grant.

Funding Awarded: £10,000

Thank You

Naturally, we are extremely thankful for this funding during this difficult time.

We would also like to thank you, our supporters and members who were in a position to pay your annual membership this year – your financial support is helping us to maintain the club and pay our ongoing monthly financial obligations, for which we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The Sport England and government funding and your valued contributions will help us to ensure that St Annes Cricket Club will return stronger than ever when normailty returns.

May we take this opportunity to once more wish you and your families all the very best of health over the coming weeks.

Take care of each other, stay together and stay safe.
